Marijke describes her yoga style as just like her Dutch background: grounded, balanced and direct – with a pinch of humor.
Her philosophy on yoga is not about getting into the perfect pose or finding enlightenment, but it’s about connecting to ourself by literally stepping onto the mat and out of the head.
At age 23, Marijke found herself experiencing extreme fatigue, burnout symptoms and unexplainable physical pains. This led to a personal search into finding health, trying anything and everything to get better. Through the practices of yoga & meditation, she learned to slow down, listen to her body and release built-up stress.
For the past decade she has delved into the world of yoga & meditation, taught offline, online, and around the globe. Her goal is to give people just that one moment to stop and listen, in order to reconnect with their body and support them on their own journey within.
